1 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using FileIO ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or an in-app announcement.
2 Description of Services
FileIO provides a suite of online tools including but not limited to:
- Secure file sharing with expiry links and optional password protection
- QR code generation and reading
- PDF tools: merge, split, compress, convert, watermark, and text extraction
- Image tools: crop, resize, rotate, upscale, background removal, compression, and format conversion
- AI-powered tools: image generation, face blur, OCR text extraction
- URL screenshot capture
Services are provided on an "as-is" basis and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without prior notice.
3 User Accounts
Some features require account registration. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain the security of your password and account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.
4 Credits & Billing
FileIO operates on a credit-based system for premium tools. By purchasing credits or a subscription plan, you agree to the following:
- All purchases are final and non-refundable unless required by applicable law
- Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value
- Subscription plans auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice
- Unused credits do not carry over when downgrading plans
⚡ Free plan users receive a limited number of credits monthly at no charge. Paid plans include higher credit allocations and access to premium features.
5 Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload, share, or process illegal, harmful, abusive, or defamatory content
- Distribute malware, viruses, or any malicious code
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
- Infringe upon intellectual property rights of any third party
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Use the Service for spamming, phishing, or any deceptive practice
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
Uploaded files are automatically deleted after 24 hours. We do not review file contents but reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.
6 Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property on the Service are owned by PROTOCOLIX or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
You retain ownership of any files or content you upload to the Service. By uploading, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process and temporarily store your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
7 Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it carefully to understand our data practices.
8 Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Any unused credits or subscription time will not be refunded except where required by law.
9 Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PROTOCOLIX shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
🔒 Files are encrypted using AES-256. However, we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.
